Now that Winter is truly underway, and the bustle of the holiday season is nearly over, we turn our thoughts to the coming New Year – 2021. Many folks have very high hopes that this year will be monumentally better than 2020. And I expect that, yes, the next year will likely hold fewer surprises for us. That doesn’t mean it’s going to be easy. Have you ever had an easy year?
Changes – Seen and Unseen
The best things in life are never simply handed to you on a silver platter – not even with everything you have endured so far. There are no guarantees that everything will go back to the way it was before. The truth is that there are probably many things that happened in 2020 that filled your bucket – and you likely even had the opportunity to look at your life to see what hasn’t been working.
There were monumental changes taking place, and not just the obvious ones. There have been major energy shifts taking place on the planet for at least the last two years. Energy shifts that have been preparing us for what we have endured so far, and for what is yet to come. If you know the phrase “The Age of Aquarius”, you may have an inkling of what is happening. We have been living in the Piscean Age for quite some time, and are now transitioning into the Aquarian Age.
“Air (Aquarian Age) brings through change, spirit, light, swiftness. It whips us up out of complacency and heaviness and encourages flexibility, independence and a rise in self-knowing.”
I, for one, am very excited to see what this could mean for me.
Remember that You Are Free
The Covid-19 Pandemic caused us all to place our lives on pause for a time. I am concerned that there may be repercussions from the restrictions that have been placed on our societies. Being told to stay at home, steer clear of socializing, do not touch anyone, essential travel only, wear a mask over the face, sterilize hands repeatedly …
It is important, in light of all these things, to remember that you are Free. And that you have free will. You are connected to everybody and everything, through a fine, unseen thread that sews us all together as a united front. You have the power to continue to connect with others, without rebelling against the rules or putting anyone in danger.
Personal Growth is Imminent
Many of you may have experienced significant revelations (aha! moments), that caused you to look at a habit or a pattern of thinking you have wanted to shift. Some of you may have had old memories come to the surface of your mind, causing you to grieve or to release or to simply realize. We all have moments like these throughout our lifetimes, and it is so important to stop and acknowledge the struggles, tribulations, losses and more. You have your story. You know what I’m saying. (and yes, I am talking to you).
If you have not acknowledged these shifts yet, I would strongly encourage you to do some reflecting on your life. For you will want to begin this coming year with a clean slate.
Be Prepared for Anything
Moving forward, it is incredibly important for you to be prepared for anything. How does one prepare for the uncertainties in life?
With Resolve. With Togetherness. With Strength, Determination and most of all with Heart.
Sit down quietly, and listen to your heart. Drop your attention into your heart space, and take a look within yourself. If you struggle to connect with your heart, go through these steps daily:
Think about someone that you love.
Think about 3 things that you’re grateful for.
Think about someone who needs some support right now.
Look into your heart, and don’t be afraid of what comes up.
If you still struggle to connect, repeat these steps twice a day.
If you simply cannot get to a place of peace and connection on your own, reach out for yoga, reiki or simply ask me a question.
If you’re not sure how to do this, I’ll go first, and you can follow me!
