Blackened Chickpeas
< id="zlrecipe-ingredients-list">< id="zlrecipe-ingredient-0" class="ingredient" itemprop="ingredients">1 can unsalted chickpeas, rinsed and drained well < id="zlrecipe-ingredient-1" class="ingredient" itemprop="ingredients">1 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil < id="zlrecipe-ingredient-2" class="ingredient" itemprop="ingredients">1 tsp each: Paprika, Granulated Garlic, Ground Cumin & Salt < id="zlrecipe-ingredient-3" class="ingredient" itemprop="ingredients">Fresh ground black pepper to taste< id="zlrecipe-instructions-list" class="instructions">< id="zlrecipe-instruction-0" class="instruction" itemprop="recipeInstructions">In a large nonstick frying pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. < id="zlrecipe-instruction-1" class="instruction" itemprop="recipeInstructions">When the pan is hot, add chickpeas (use splatter screen to shield yourself!) < id="zlrecipe-instruction-2" class="instruction" itemprop="recipeInstructions">Toast chickpeas, tossing the pan occasionally to cook evenly. < id="zlrecipe-instruction-3" class="instruction" itemprop="recipeInstructions">When chickpeas begin to turn golden yellow, sprinkle seasonings overtop. < id="zlrecipe-instruction-4" class="instruction" itemprop="recipeInstructions">Continue to toss or stir the chickpeas occasionally. < id="zlrecipe-instruction-5" class="instruction" itemprop="recipeInstructions">Chickpeas are done when they look slightly wrinkled, and spices start the blacken slightly (see photo). < id="zlrecipe-instruction-6" class="instruction" itemprop="recipeInstructions">Enjoy on salad, or as a snack!https://soulchange.co/2018/02/blackened-chickpeas/
